The students, staff and governors of Thamesmead have always been heavily involved in the Shepperton Fair – a huge local event attracting around 10,000 visitors. This year was no exception.
The students were a credit to the school and will be receiving certificates and a ‘thank you’ from the Fair Committee. They helped to put up the photographic display in the craft tent, acted as procession marshals, supervised pets’ corner and picked up all the litter at the end of the day – and we have had two comments from members of the public to say thank you for a great clean up job in Manor Park.
The Thamesmead staff also took part with the Art and Design staff putting on a brilliant display of stunning art and DT work in the craft tent. The Friends of Thamesmead (former PTA) ran a very popular refreshment stall to raise funds to buy essentials which will benefit all students.
It was a very successful day and the governors thank the students, staff and parents for their contribution and support of this local community event.
