Health and Social Care Careers -The Prince’s Trust

The Prince’s Trust are running a series of short employability programmes for 16-30 year olds in Surrey who are looking for jobs in Health & Social Care.  The third and final day of which is a speed interview day with real employers looking to fill actual jobs.

You can use the links below to register your interest. It is a 3 day programme, (not full days) and it is all delivered online, but all participants will be individually supported by a Prince’s Trust Executive.

16th – 18th June (North Surrey) – https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/105774807296

7th – 9th July (East Surrey) – https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/105775499366

14th – 16th July (West Surrey) – https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/105775960746

The geography is based on where the employers will have vacancies, it might be appropriate to register interest in more than one programme and that is absolutely fine. You won’t have to repeat anything, just attend the speed interview days for any subsequent programme.

Wednesday 24th June – Thamesmead School Careers Fair for students – TBC

Work Experience and College Taster Days

We want to encourage as many opportunities as possible for our students to visit colleges and to have work experience, however these need to be after school hours or during school holidays. All colleges usually have an Open Evening which does not clash with the school day so please select to go to those. Most work experience is flexible so please select to go in the school holidays. In exceptional circumstance Mr Reeves will give authorised absences for students who have good attendance and always catch up on work missed. We do not want to disadvantage our student’s education and we do offer several Year 10 Taster Days in school time.

Thamesmead Careers Opportunities

Thamesmead students take part in many Careers Events including the Enterprise Challenge, CSI days, University visits, STEM challenges and Taster Days at local colleges.
