School Development Fund

Thamesmead School Development Fund’s aim is to support the schools mission that each student will realise their potential.  The level of funding we receive from the government covers the basic schooling experience and doesn’t allow us the opportunity to spend on developing and upgrading equipment and facilities.

As a parent or carer, you can help make a real difference through a voluntary regular donation to the School Fund. Your support is vital to our success and the future of our students.

If you would like to discuss any aspects of fundraising at Thamesmead School, please contact Nahbila Sher, Finance and Business Manager   or telephone 01932 219400.

You can set up a regular payment to the fund using the forms below and return them completed and signed to Finance Office, Thamesmead School, Manygate Lane, Shepperton, Middlesex, TW17 9EE contact details or telephone 01932 219438.

Or you can make a one-off donation via Tucasi/Scopay  –

Your support of Thamesmead School’s Development Fund.

The Fund supports the School’s mission that each student will realise their potential.
Parents and Carers of students at Thamesmead School contribute to the Fund.

Over the last five years we are delighted that the Fund has provided the following contributions:

£70,000  4 x science laboratory refurbishments (2021/22)

£40,000  New student pcs (2021/22)

£18,455  Minibus (2018/19)

£50,000 2 x Food Technology room refurbishment (2022/23)

It is easier to process the payments, which keeps the administration costs down.  Regular giving also enables us to plan ahead knowing how much we will receive.
You now have the option to make a one-off donation via Tucasi (school online payment system). or you can donate via the Virgin Money option above.
We suggest a donation of £10 per month or £100 as a one-off donation – although if you are not able to contribute this much we would be grateful to receive any donation from you.
The School realises that not every family can afford to contribute and we would not want you to.   There are other ways in which you can help make a difference to your child’s education, maybe through volunteering at fundraising events with the Friends of Thamesmead
The bank account holder needs to cancel the standing order instruction by contacting their bank.

In the first instance you must cancel the standing order with your bank. You can apply for a refund, however please note that the School will not refund more than 3 months contributions.
