Following the summer exam success where record results were achieved by Thamesmead School students, last night we were delighted to officially award certificates and prizes at our annual Presentation Evening.
Around 400 guests joined staff and governors as certificates were presented by former Careers Co-ordinator Mrs Morris, who retired this year after 38 years’ service to the school. She was joined by Vice-Chair of Governors, Mike Coombs.
The audience was entertained with musical performances from GCSE music students Alfie Batten, Hetty Quirke and Boaz Dopemu.
Students were able to chat with their friends and share news of their new studies or careers with teachers afterwards when the Friends of Thamesmead served a buffet reception to round off the evening.
Mrs Bell, Deputy Headteacher said, “It was lovely to be reunited with the students to celebrate their success and say a final goodbye to them and their families, after working with them for the last five years.”
