Almost a third of all GCSE exams sat by our students this year were graded 9-7.

The results have also seen a school record being broken, with James Norton achieving an amazing 11 grade 9s. Faye MacDonald achieved a fantastic total of 9 grade 9s.

Headteacher Phil Reeves said “We are celebrating the GCSE results our students have achieved this year which show a significant increase in the progress our students have made in their time at Thamesmead. We have seen improvements in our results for English, Maths and the majority of our subjects which suggests that our staff and students have got a good handle on the new GCSE qualifications that have been introduced in recent years. We are very proud of all the students have achieved in these exams and wish them the very best of luck as they move on to their new sixth forms, colleges and apprenticeships.”
