Harry Potter Book Night

Harry Potter Book Night

Alohomora unlocked our very own magical room of requirements as the Learning Centre transformed into Hogwarts last Thursday.  After being ‘sorted’ students and staff competed for Harry Potter house points.  ‘There was so much to do,’ commented Anya (Yr 7).  It was agreed by all that reading their tea leaves was extraordinary.  Hannah (Yr 7), who had never tried fruit tea before, loved Divination saying that ‘Finding success in my cup was brilliant’. Banishing your Boggart proved very popular with some great scary and ‘Riddikulus’ acting proving too much for the Boggart.  Miss Gatland’s Patronus Quiz had them queuing up, ‘It was fascinating to discover my patronus’ remarked Bethany (Yr7).  The evening ended with a thrilling Harry Potter quiz, it was very tight but Gryffindor just beat Hufflepuff 10925 points to 10880 points. Well done to the staff and students (Tanith, Ali, Lauren, Molly, Isabella, Ellie and Charlotte) of the winning team.  ‘The Harry Potter Book Night was an amazing event!’ summed up Lauren (Yr 10).
