Summer Soiree – June 2015

The sun shone on a wonderful evening of drama, music and dance at this year’s Summer Soiree  in the Outdoor Performance Area.  The students performed a variety of jazz, orchestral and popular music. The Thamesmead Performance Company re-created their piece from the Great Charter Festival which they recently performed during the Magna Carta commemorations.

The dance was varied and spectacular ranging from Contemporary Ballet to Tap and Street Dance. We were also treated to a sneak preview of Peter Pan-The School Musical (see below for tickets).  Contestants from Song Star and Thamesmead X Factor provided us with some great entertainment and the Community Choir joined everyone on stage for a rousing finale.
We were delighted also to be joined by the Manor Mead School students performing Row the Boat which was amazing and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone.
