British Airways are really excited to announce a new student website – ‘Speedbird-Z’. This website is a new tool to keep students engaged after an initial interaction, as well as building their understanding of the industry and develop employability. Speedbird-Z has learning modules about British Airways and Aviation, as well as modules about building an effective CV and interview tips. The website features an array of British Airways colleagues that students can ask questions to about their job and experiences to bring roles to life.
Its free to join, and in the future British Airways will constantly be adding new modules so students can continue to learn. You can sign up using this link:
The Careerometer Widget
The widget below can be used to access and compare key information about occupations to help with exploring potential careers. The Careerometer widget provides access to a selection of headline data relating to pay, weekly hours of work and future employment prospects. The data are organised by occupation; simply type in the title of the job you are interested in and the widget provides a series of options from which you can select the most relevant to you.
The Skillometer widget
The Skillometer has been designed for those who are not sure what jobs they may be interested in. Thinking about skills, interests and the ways these can link to jobs can be a helpful first step inindentifying possible future jobs. Users take the quiz, which requires them to reflect on a number of statements and decide what they love, are not sure about or are not keen on.
